You must register your Card at WalmartGiftcom. This protects you if your card is lost or stolen. In addition, your Card must be registered if you want to shop online, by mail, or by telephone. Most traders need address information. Your card number and a 3-digit security code are required to register.

Write down your Card number and Customer Service number on a separate sheet of paper if your Card is lost, stolen or destroyed. Your card is automatically activated when purchased.

Why can’t I register my Gift Card?
Please see the back of your card to determine the issuing bank. Gift Cards issued by Sunrise Banks and Green Dot Bank, N.A. not available for sale in New Hampshire or Vermont. How do I pay for items that cost more than the balance on my Gift Card?
To buy goods that cost more than your Card balance, you must provide a second payment method – such as cash, checks or credit card – to pay the difference. Tell the cashier how much you want to pay with each type of payment. Not all merchants can accept two forms of payment.

Can I use my Gift Card internationally?
Nope. Gift Cards can only be used in fifty (50) US states and the District of Columbia, excluding Puerto Rico and other US territories.

Why does the merchant ask for more authorization than what is on my receipt?
Certain traders may ask us to authorize transactions in advance and can estimate the final value. For example, a restaurant can ask us to authorize a payment of 20% above your total bill to cover the tip amount.

The actual amount you pay will not exceed the bill amount plus a tip added by you (the tip amount is at your discretion). The initial authorization remains on your Card until the actual transaction is sent to your Card, and that can take up to 10 days.

Does the Walmart Visa Gift Card that I get has a PIN number?
If a Walmart Visa Gift Card is purchased after April 1, 2013, your PIN is the last four digits of your Card number. However, there is no ATM access, and no money back.
